If it weren't so sad, it would be almost humorous. More and more I'm starting to see the voices of disappointment. People who were all to happy to jump on board the Obama bandwagon during the campaign are beginning to wake up with a sort of hangover. Waking up only now to the realization that the guy with socialist friends, socialist ideas, socialist plans is...*gasp*...a Socialist.
His solution to the loss of jobs? Raise taxes on the people that provide those jobs. What are they to do? Lay people off, of course. They'd be idiots not to. His so-called solution to job loss is to cause more job loss.
His solution to the drop in industrial productivity? Institute a "cap-and-trade" policy on carbon emissions so that industry can't compete as well in a global marketplace. Nice. Industry has no choice but to cut productivity even further. This means still more job loss, of course.
His solution to the health care crisis? Cut medicare reimbursements. What will this do? It will force vast numbers of physicians to stop accepting Medicare patients, because it costs more to see them than it is worth. What then? Force doctors to see them? Of course. This will, of course, hit primary care providers the hardest, as we operate on the thinnest margins. Faced with staying in a profession that enslaves them by forcing them to see people at a loss, even more of us will be forced to abandon our practices. When we close our doors, this will mean even more job loss.
Are you poor? Now you have a President who supports the same old tired enslaving welfare state that keeps you poor and destroys your hope of something better.
Are you "middle-class"? Now you have a President who will do everything in his power to make you stay where you are, or worse, whose policies will cause the loss of your job.
Are you a factory worker? Your industry will be hobbled by cap-and-trade. Hours will have to be cut. Jobs will have to be cut.
Are you an entrepeneur? A professional? Hang on. Obama promises to punish you for your hard work and productivity.
So what did you who supported him expect? He told you what he wanted to do. Now we will all have to deal with your decision. If I were you, I would probably think about removing those bumper stickers. More and more people will be looking for someone to blame for where we're going.
Don't say we didn't try to warn you.

M. D. Anderson is Antisemitic
In a further shock, a member of the faculty at the beloved and internationally-renowned cancer treatment center in Houston has joined in the U.S. Campaign for the Cultural and Academic Boycott of Israel.
I guess if you are Jewish, you might want to reconsider getting treated at Anderson.
You might run the risk of being seen by self-proclaimed anti-Semite Dr. Bouthaina Shbib Dabaja.
How shameful. I move that we boycott M. D. Anderson until Dr. Dabaja is appropriately and publicly reprimanded.

Emory University Medical School is Antisemitic
An Emory University Medical School Professor, in a colossal act of academic arrogance, has joined dozens of other eggheads in signing on to the U.S. Campaign for the Cultural and Academic Boycott of Israel.
Just imagine, for a moment, how you might feel if you were a Jewish student in medical school at Emory.
Worse still, imagine being a jewish patient assigned to this doctor.
Dr. Seleem Sayyar, you should be ashamed. This is no different than being a doctor who is also a card-carrying member of the Klan.
Emory med, you will remain suspect until Dr. Sayyar is appropriately and publicly reprimanded.

Our Apologies to Patrick Henry...

I guess the Founding Fathers shouldn't have been surprised. After all, their problems were nothing compared with "our current financial crisis".
Despotism, tyranny, autocracy...all mere inconveniences compared with this. So I'm sure they would forgive us.
I'm sure they would understand how our principles and most cherished beliefs really must take a back seat for a while.
China's human rights record is abysmal, yes. But my God, they're our best creditors. Who are we to judge? In these trying times?
I'm wondering how all the people with "Free Tibet" bumper stickers on their Volvos are taking this news. I'm sure they can see the bigger picture.
I guess the Buddhist monks and political dissidents will just have to cower in fear a bit longer. The Light of Liberty for the world is dimming. The price for our silence? Much less than some might have thought.
Just hang in there everybody. We'll care again about your plight pretty soon. Right now, though, we and our best pal China have to look out for numero uno.

789 Billion. Wow.
Nicely done. I have to give props to Congressional Democrats. They've crammed nearly a billion dollar doo-doo burger right down our collective throat. Thank goodness we know what the money's going for...
What??? Whaddya mean you don't know what it's for??? I just assumed somebody was keeping an eye on them! After all, they gave us their Scout's honor that if we fired all those dirty Republicans, it would usher in a new era of accountability!
Oh well. I'm sure they are trustworthy. I'm sure that all the people that have spent 8 years bitching and moaning about how government is "out of control" will be all over this "stimulus" package. They are just looking out for all of us, right?
Forgive the sarcasm. I'm just saying what we all know...the self-proclaimed protectors of our Liberty are just a bunch of Liberal activists who will remain conspicuously silent as my son's future (and that of his children and grandchildren) is sold for votes.
I know you Democrat thieves are robbing us blind. Just please spare me the insulting "the stimulus means jobs" B.S., okay? The stimulus is nearly a trillion dollars of pretend money to continue to keep the ignorant hoping in vain for deliverance from bad decisions.
Enjoy it while it lasts. Even Europe has begun to abandon its Socialism as a failure. As usual, we will arrogantly walk the same road, one century too late. Only now, we won't call our mistake what it is, as we did so vehemently when we condemned "Bush's Imperialism". Now Democrats are in charge. It'll be an honest mistake.
Who is John Galt? Me.

Back...with a vengeance.
I have been absent too long. My brain is overflowing with stuff, and I am yearning for an outlet.
Firstly, just allow me to congratulate our new President on being exactly the colossal disappointment we all expected. Lacking both experience and humility, he has become the hapless puppet of his dark and intentionally anonymous liberal masters.
One after another of his desired Cabinet appointees have withdrawn in shame. Vast right wing conspiracy, right? Nope. Just good old fashioned tax evasion.
A real threat to our way of life? I guess it's still possible. More likely he'll just be a less talented and more embarrassing Bill Clinton. I think we'll survive.
So congratulations, everybody! We have another reason to celebrate. Nothing new to report. Just Chapter 44 of the American novel of hubris, greed, and corruption. This time the head cheat is black. Cool.
So until you all get rich off the promises that bought your votes, I recommend you keep your support of our new guy pretty subdued. So far I've seen neither hope nor change. Just a different color on the guy making empty promises and rewarding those he's indebted to. If that's what does it for you, swell. You are a childish goof, but swell.
